Hi, I'm Jörn Vehoff. I used to call myself "an active technology & net enthusiast" on this page. Now I would rather say that I am a nerd with a family. The free-time became a bit more limited, but when we moved to our house near Düsseldorf, I made sure that it got a proper smart-home (KNX/EIB) installation. This allows me to actively try out new things directly in my house.

Currently, I work at ALDI SÜD, the leading global discount supermarket chain, as a Director of International IT. Togehter with my department, I focus on providing the best solutions and services for the whole procurement process incl. tendering, contracting, supplier lifecycle as well as Corporate Responsibility.

Previously, I worked at the technology consulting company Accenture as a project manager. For more that ten years, I have been involved in large IT projects in Germany, the US and Finland. I mostly had roles in post-merger IT integration programs or the deployment of business-critical applications.

You can find some more details about my projects and work experience in my CV.

During my studies of Information Technology I spent two major trips abroad. I worked for the embedded systems company Tuxia in Sydney as an intern and I wrote my graduation thesis at Canada's leading WiFi provider FatPort in Vancouver. To share my Australian and Canadian experiences, I created a blog and a photo gallery.
