USB boot

Hi *,
Did anybody spent some time on trying to boot from an USB memory device (e.g. Memorybird) ?
I am looking for a solution to boot from such memorystick for a long long time and my only conlusion is: the bios does not support it.
I tried: 1. Using grub and fiddling with bios settings. 2. Using Dos and try to access the USB memory to fire up loadlin.
So I am left with my boot cd.
Any suggestions welcome!
