I wrote my graduation thesis at FatPort (see above) about IPsec.
I learned both the software- and the hardware-side of information technology during lectures like programming in C/C++, component-based development with Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) and J2EE, distributed systems, electrical engineering, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) etc, but also had lectures about economics and other non-technical subjects eg. project and quality management.
Apart from the lectures, I was part of the Linux workgroup where we built our own Linux-from-Scratch-systems and the team that organized the annual ComputerCamp. At this event computer enthusiastics camp for one week at the university and work on fascinating projects. My task was to coordinate all web activities and develop the web site (screenshot).
I also worked for an Internet company called Gesellschaft für Internet-Anwendungen GmbH as a PHP programmer. This company was founded by three professors of mine to develop an online event database.
